NO, this time we are not talking of a new painting cycle, but of a new little electronic device that could help you to be a little more efficient in your working cycle.
How many times have you asked yourself “Have they formulated a variant that is closer to the colour of this car?” Or have you thought “If I had internet here in my paintbox, I shouldn’t go back to the office to read the technical data sheet of this clearcoat…”
We think that a good internet connection, able to give you information you need when and where you need it, could be the right answer to these questions. If you agree with me, keep on reading this article. We propose you a possible method to reach this important result.
If your workspace obtained the certification 'Risk free', namely a space where there is no explosion risk and so you did not have to ask for specific equipment that satisfies the requirements of ATEX regulation (for example scales and mixing machines), having internet can be even easier than in the past: you can exploit the potential of a Powerline Extender just having a normal socket in the Paintbox. The operating principle of a POWERLINE EXTENDER such as 99 480 is the possibility to deliver signal of your internal network to electrical cables and make it useable through normal 'wall' outlets.
Convenient, isn’t it?
What do you need to use a Powerline Extender?
Your wiring will do the rest.
Easy, isn’t it?
Let’s see now how to proceed. First of all
First step done! Now:
At this point, you are ready to move the receiver on the paintbox, and when the Powerline LED turns on again permanently, you could use one of your embedded LAN ports to connect your PC with Lechler MAP to the network.
All done? Sure! To ensure everything runs well, you have to follow some simple instructions:
There is still something you should know: you can use the receiver included in this kit also as a Wi-Fi access point, so it could be even more useful if you cannot position it in Paint-Box, but just near to it. If you are interested in using this function, have a look at the documentation attached to the article.
