Colour is a language that continues to evolve. Technological, cultural and artistic changes have always influenced the domestic landscape in or homes and surrounding environments. The analysis of past products revealed that significant colour changes are recorded in cycles which means that general colour preferences for the near future can be predicted with a fair degree of accuracy.
Defining new scenarios is an essential aspect of Color Design and contributes to determining the quality of home environments, architectural features of buildings and the commercial success of an industrial product.
The Color Design Project by Lechler, organized in partnership with the industrial designer Francesca Valan, provides indications, suggestions and technical information to make choosing colour and finishes easier.
Projects that are included in Lechler Color Design:
Lechler S.p.A. in Como (in the north of Milan), an Italian chemical Organisation and Italian leader in the paint field, has acquired the Stoppani brand and the activities connected to building and boat field from the Ernesto Stoppani Spa in Sarnico (near Bergamo, in the east of Milan).
This take-over falls under the scheduled activities of the strategic plan 2007-2009 foreseeing the development of its own share in the European market as well as an enlargement of its core-business in the branch of the specialised paints distribution, along with the strengthening of its production and technological capability in the sites of Como and Foligno (in central Italy).
The Stoppani brand has great historical presence (since 1883) in the Italian market and has established itself over years in the distribution of quality products, also distributed in the main European markets of the yachting sector. Stoppani becomes therefore the fourth brand of Lechler group joining to Lechler (car refinish paints), Lechler Tech (industry paints) and Chrèon (building paints).
Lechler S.p.A. is getting ready to celebrate in 2008 its one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of its original brands birth: two historical brands of the Italian industry can be found therefore in the corporate assets of the Italian group, that, in the last decade, faced with great success the internationalisation phase achieving an export share close to 50% of its turnover and getting the Italian quality technology appreciated in more than 50 countries.
