Color Design - colour turns into design!

Lechler's new concept connects chemical development with the evolution of the language of colour.

Colour is a language that continues to evolve. Technological, cultural and artistic changes have always influenced the domestic landscape in our homes and surrounding environments.  The analysis of past products revealed that significant colour changes are recorded in cycles which means that general colour preferences for the near future can be predicted with a fair degree of accuracy.

Defining new scenarios is an essential aspect of Color Design and contributes to determining the quality of home environments, architectural features of buildings and the commercial success of an industrial product.

The Color Design Project by Lechler, organized in partnership with the industrial designer Francesca Valan, provides indications, suggestions and technical information to make choosing colour and finishes easier.

Lechler and its Finnish distributor Ykkösväri Oy partners in Taitaja 2018 competition

Categories: Refinish

The competition, organised by Skills Finland, was held in Tampere Exhibition and Sport Center from 15th to 18th May; 400 students from 45 different professions competed against each other in front of thousands of visitors, both students and professionals, willing to follow this event.

Martti Volotinen, supporter of this big event, and Jani Voimanen from Ykkösväri judged the competition and have been impressed by the work of these future talents.

In this kind of event students need to be able to properly follow the painting process, including products handling, colour matching and results checking, but they also need to deal with safety, planning and time management.

Six students made it through the finals, where they had to perform four different types of repairs with Lechler products in a given time frame.

Ewelina Sobecka, Business Development Manager of Lechler, was positively impressed by the competence and the involvement of the young participants of this venture.

Paula Volotinen and Mika Volotinen from Ykkösväri trust these projects involving young people interested in car repair market, because they really believe it is always good to invest in the future.

Lechler congratulates the winners and is ready for the next challenge!
