Color Box today is now in its fifth edition! And just like as the technologies world evolved, it is going forward too. Color Box V has been produced with a UHS water based cycle, based on latest paint product technology with low impact on the environment (Low V.O.C.), with 70% minimum solvent reduction if compared to the old technology. The wear resistances remain unchanged: in order to allow an unaltered performance “anti-scratch” has been applied on each card, with a high rubbing resistance. Furthermore, a specific paint cycle has been used in order to avoid card bending or cracks on the film surface. Also, the material used for the card production has been updated and adjusted with new technology: a waterproof plastic film has been used providing a long lasting product. Very important news is the introduction of a bar code on the back of each card, to allow rapid and precise colour identification through the utilisation of a simple optical reader. This instrument, once it is connected to a personal computer with the Lechler Explorer® software installed, allows you to avoid a series of steps in the colour formulation and code identification, thus avoiding possible errors when keying in. Furthermore, Color Box V can be completed with a kit with “car producers” covers, with rings allowing a collection by colour fans, if the user considers this as useful for his everyday work. There are great benefits for the body repairer who uses the new edition of the Color Box. High quality colour matching and colour reproduction, thanks to a great number of production tests that have been made with spectrophotometer, the colour matching is reliable and precise. The colour card production is completed with products used in the refinish field, and allows you to obtain a very precise colour cross- reference. The Color Box fits in a very small space: thanks to its practical and small size can it be positioned on the Work Station. It has movable drawers, allowing you to compare the colour to the respective vehicle. The introduction of the bar code, which identifies the colour, allows an easy and safe colour formulation from Lechler Explorer® software, allowing great time saving and a reduced risk of possible input errors. The Color Box is updated 2-3 times per year, and thanks to the precise work of the car producers, standard colour reference research and through the collection of car parts, allows colour formulation development of all the colours from the car producers. From the first edition of this colour sample until, now more than 21.000 colour references have been updated or added!
