Lechler has always felt and accepted this huge responsibility, and implements programmes that do not merely comply with the complex regulatory standards but, instead, 'do something more' even at the cost of important economic efforts.  In recent decades this approach has been especially appreciated by the market and by public opinion, which have fortunately understood that it is essential to ensure correct management of the environmental aspects associated with corporate activities.

The latest interventions focused on qualifying and standardising the production facility based in Foligno where the water-based productions of the 5 Lechler business facilities are carried out have won the Company the UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 certification. Today it is the model that has been most widely acknowledged on the international scene among performance assessment tools in the environmental framework. The Environmental Management System defined by ISO 14001 is obviously based on legislative compliance but it also rewards ongoing improvements in processes and the prevention of pollution. 

Said certification is a voluntary acknowledgement that allows to officialise the efforts made, and to guarantee their efficacy. It also provides several related benefits, including identification of environmental risks and definition of the feasibility of reducing costs associated with the management of waste, raw materials and energy consumption.
