Colour is a language that continues to evolve. Technological, cultural and artistic changes have always influenced the domestic landscape in our homes and surrounding environments. The analysis of past products revealed that significant colour changes are recorded in cycles which means that general colour preferences for the near future can be predicted with a fair degree of accuracy.
Defining new scenarios is an essential aspect of Color Design and contributes to determining the quality of home environments, architectural features of buildings and the commercial success of an industrial product.
The Color Design Project by Lechler, organized in partnership with the industrial designer Francesca Valan, provides indications, suggestions and technical information to make choosing colour and finishes easier.
Projects that are included in Lechler Color Design:
Color as memory and living matter. With Circular Imperfections – Art from What Remains, the artist mariuto (the creative name of Mario Aiuto) inaugurates Lechler’s new company exhibition space.
Lechler strengthens its bond with the art world by opening, at its Como headquarters, a dedicated area for events, exhibitions, and creative collaborations.
The debut show, CIRCULAR IMPERFECTIONS – Art from What Remains, features the work of mariuto, an original and authentic figure in today’s creative landscape. A Lechler employee and active member of the Friends of Lechler Village, Mario lives color not just as a surface or an emotion, but as living substance—raw material that takes shape through his hands.
His daily experience in paint production became a true initiation: witnessing color being born and transformed pushed him beyond fear and into creation, without academic training, guided solely by the urgency to express himself.
Wood, cardboard, metal, Lechler paints, and forgotten materials are reassembled into new forms. Each piece is an act of care and a second chance, where what was discarded becomes narrative and vision.
“In the act of recovery there is beauty, but also urgency.” mariuto’s works surprise, evoke, and challenge us to reflect on how many things—how much of ourselves—we let go every day.
Through this initiative, Lechler reaffirms its commitment to promoting art and the culture of color as drivers of sustainable growth. Lechler Village thus becomes an open, multifunctional space where innovation meets social and environmental responsibility.
