Colour is a language that continues to evolve. Technological, cultural and artistic changes have always influenced the domestic landscape in our homes and surrounding environments. The analysis of past products revealed that significant colour changes are recorded in cycles which means that general colour preferences for the near future can be predicted with a fair degree of accuracy.
Defining new scenarios is an essential aspect of Color Design and contributes to determining the quality of home environments, architectural features of buildings and the commercial success of an industrial product.
The Color Design Project by Lechler, organized in partnership with the industrial designer Francesca Valan, provides indications, suggestions and technical information to make choosing colour and finishes easier.
Projects that are included in Lechler Color Design:
“Laque of Como” is the new special color scheme created for Davide Piganzoli’s AURUM during Il Lombardia. Shifting shades that evoke some of the variations that Lake Como takes on depending on the light and landscape: a bicycle that tells the story of a region.
The partnership between Lechler and Team Polti Kometa continues, which already saw the ‘Color Project’ idea break into the world of professional sports during the 2024 Giro d’Italia.
The occasion is ‘Il Lombardia’, the last monument classic, one of the most important races on the UCI calendar, which this year starts from Bergamo and finishes in Como on a route along the Triangolo Lariano. An unmissable opportunity for Lechler and Polti to tell the story of the Como area, celebrating its most well-known and recognizable symbol worldwide: the lake.
Alessandra Damaschino, Marketing & Communication Manager of Lechler, shares the emotions of this project: “What color is Lake Como? There is no single answer. Our beloved lake changes mood and appearance depending on the seasons, the surrounding landscape, the weather conditions, and the sunlight. Being a Como-based company, like Polti, and having the privilege of hosting the finish of a monument classic like Il Lombardia, we created a celebratory color for Piganzoli’s Magma 2, which we named ‘Laque of Como,’ recalling the colors and effects of Lake Como and inheriting some of its characteristics: it is lively and shifting.”
