Color Design - colour turns into design!

Lechler's new concept connects chemical development with the evolution of the language of colour.

Colour is a language that continues to evolve. Technological, cultural and artistic changes have always influenced the domestic landscape in our homes and surrounding environments.  The analysis of past products revealed that significant colour changes are recorded in cycles which means that general colour preferences for the near future can be predicted with a fair degree of accuracy.

Defining new scenarios is an essential aspect of Color Design and contributes to determining the quality of home environments, architectural features of buildings and the commercial success of an industrial product.

The Color Design Project by Lechler, organized in partnership with the industrial designer Francesca Valan, provides indications, suggestions and technical information to make choosing colour and finishes easier.

Lechler and Fabrizio Musa in: FABRIZIO MUSA PUBLIC WORKS 2004_2014

What does an artist have in common with a chemical company?
The answer is surprising: a whole lot.

Fabrizio Musa and Lechler are both based in the Como area, and have a desire to enrich, add value to and export the area name - each with their own means and in their own unique way.

They also share the curiosity that pushes them to explore new technologies, which are not seen as threats for art and culture, but instead as opportunities to create and safeguard "beauty".  Lastly, and very simply, artists need colour.  Even though everything around us is painted, we often act as if we don't notice the colour. This time, the artist is trying to help improve the status of colour, because Fabrizio Musa uses Lechler brand paints and his works are anything but invisible. Here are the "secrets" of a long lasting partnership, confirmed through this edition of this photographic book containing mainly "Opere Pubbliche" by Fabrizio Musa, many of which in the Como area.

The volume is a collection of photographs, made during the past 10 years, of the Public Works done on the city walls by Fabrizio Musa: from the first Wall Paint dedicated to the Novocomum di Terragni in Como in 2004 to the present.

The book FABRIZIO MUSA PUBLIC WORKS 2004_2014 was presented on Thursday, 11 December 2014 at 8:30 pm at the Unione Industriali in Como. The artist was joined by the other authors and sponsors of this splendid publication:

Aram Manoukian Chairman of Lechler Spa Main sponsor of the project
Alberto Longatti and Roberto Borghi Curators of the book.

Fabrizio Musa, (Como 1971) lives and works between Como and New York.

Ever since his début as an artist in the late 1990s, he has contaminated traditional painting techniques with new technologies. Fabrizio Musa uses a variety of techniques in his work, and has been involved in architectural projects on several occasions.

Since 2008, he has worked with architect Mario Botta on a project involving re-elaboration the paint of Botta's architectural projects, which has resulted in several shows.
