Colour is a language that continues to evolve. Technological, cultural and artistic changes have always influenced the domestic landscape in our homes and surrounding environments. The analysis of past products revealed that significant colour changes are recorded in cycles which means that general colour preferences for the near future can be predicted with a fair degree of accuracy.
Defining new scenarios is an essential aspect of Color Design and contributes to determining the quality of home environments, architectural features of buildings and the commercial success of an industrial product.
The Color Design Project by Lechler, organized in partnership with the industrial designer Francesca Valan, provides indications, suggestions and technical information to make choosing colour and finishes easier.

From May 7th to May 17thconferences, interactive exhibitions, meetings open to the general public and events were held, all linked with the scientific tradition of Como, the home town of Alessandro Volta, the scientist father of the ground-breaking invention of the electrical battery.
The event explored the theme of light, not simply as a natural phenomenon, but as a metaphor of creativity, innovation and knowledge: within this scope, a large number of events, exhibitions and conferences were held, discussing the light of the intellect, the light of energy, the light surrounding the universe and the light as a revealing medium.
The third edition of the event was attended by key figures from the scientific, cultural, artistic, financial and innovation world, and also featured exhibitions, workshops, events and installations throughout the city. Once again, the common aim of all events was to introduce Nobel prizes and top names from the cultural and research world to the "general public" and to schools through friendly interactions, as well as by developing a wealth of skills and knowledge within the academic community.
The guests: the Nobel Prize in physics Claude Cohen-Tannoudji; Amalia Ercoli Finzi, scientific consultant for NASA, ASI and ESA, and Principal Investigator for the SD2 system fitted to the Rosetta spacecraft; the astronaut Paolo Nespoli, the mathematician and speaker Piergiorgio Odifreddi and the philosopher Giulio Giorello.
Amongst the events: two Interactive exhibitions: “IMMAGINE”, focusing on the most extraordinary and impressive optical phenomena, also featuring exhibits and workshops, and “POESIE DI LUCE”, where students from the Milan Polytechnic School of Design exhibited amazing lighting devices; “Alive Green Flux”, the moving representation of an imaginary dialogue between opera and electronics, between the neo-classical style of the Theatre and its digital video-mapping; the “FAI Luce!”, a tour organized with the co-operation of FAI, the Italian National Trust, and dedicated to groups and families, involving visits to city locations linked to the life of scientist Alessandro Volta; the Energy Forum, a major event attended by key players in the world of energy on the theme “Energy: from geopolitics to the Country’s needs”.
