Production
The production activities are located in two sites: Como and Foligno (Perugia):
- The site in Como is dedicated to the production of all solvent and complementary products. The site 120.000 m2 of which, 60.000 m2 are covered and the product capability is over 20 million litres/year.
- The site in Foligno is dedicated to the production of all the waterborne paint. The site is 60.000 m2 with 11.000 m2 covered and a product capability of around 6 million litres/year.
In order to support the ambitious development programmes of the waterborne products including all businesses, since 2006 each year great investments in the installation and implementation of production and logistic have been included.
First of all, the installation of a Hydrofan production plant in a squeezable bottle version, has allowed the system to enter into the revolutionary H3O dimension. In the last few years, inside the plant in Foligno, a new great production plant has been launched. This is dedicated to industrial water based painting cycles to obtain enamels, fillers and primes, which can be diluted with water through an automatic industrial mixing machine. The plant, with a logistic warehouse and shipment areas with automatic control, is able to stock up to 10.000 pallets. This important investment has been possible due to the growing demand of water based products from the market, with the aim of maintaining Lechlers leadership in technologies with low impact on the environment also in the industrial field.
The innovation of the production structures and the intensification of the R&D programmes and activities are the main way to satisfy the real demands of the market, always remembering that the improvement of technical and technological skills is one of the keys to be always competitive.
