Relevant subjects concerning the importance of research, innovation and creativity as competitive elements in the overall contemporary international market were discussed during the 2005 edition of “The week of innovation” held in Florence from November 30th till December 7th.

An entire day focused on the subject: “Fashion and technology”, with important interventions made by the technological fields with Christopher Csikszentmihalyi, ’MIT Director in Boston, four brilliant young men: an art researcher, Marco Della Torre and some fashion delegates from Gucci, Ferragamo, La Perla and Malo.

Lechler was invited to represent the Italian world of coatings, thanks to its experience and Know- How in the Automotive field in the research of colour and effects. Products obtaining HOLOGRAM, CHROMA FLASH, SIDERAL and SOFT TOUCH pigments were shown with original and trendy chromatic effects derived from the Automotive field also useful for fashion and design products.

Lechler has shown the importance of research and technology as opportunities to compete in the present and future markets. This gives value to every kind of substrate through new and original proposals made by the world of colours.
